Community Poetry Circles

Through her popular drop-in COMMUNITY POETRY CIRCLES, Magdalena can help you find your inner muse. Enjoy the freedom and spontaneity in a fun and supportive setting as you are led to a poetry writing idea that will help you uncover your poem. You can attend these workshops through the Santa Cruz, Watsonville or Campbell Public Library systems. These free events are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and are open to all ages and levels of poets.

“Magdalena’s workshops offer a friendly, inviting atmosphere. Writers are able to receive feedback, encouragement, and become connected to other writers in the community by attending. Her workshops have inspired me to continue writing and to nurture my creativity. They are truly something to look forward to.”—Jessica Markham

A stunning wordsmith in her own right, Magdalena supports you in owning your own story, as well as believing your own story is worth telling.”  — Pamela Papas

Magdalena has helped several books into being and has been working as an editor for over a decade. “Magdalena has been a consistent source of inspiration and encouragement. Before going to her workshops, I didn’t allow myself to write a single sentence without my internal editor chewing it to pieces. Magdalena encouraged me to trust the voice that wants to express itself on the page. “—Emily Bording
