COMMUNITY POETRY CIRCLES

Through her popular drop-in COMMUNITY POETRY CIRCLES, Magdalena can help you find your inner muse. Enjoy the freedom and spontaneity in a fun and supportive setting as you are led to a poetry writing idea that will help you uncover your poem. You can attend these workshops through the Santa Cruz, Watsonville or Campbell Public Library systems. These free events are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and are open to all ages and levels of poets.

“Magdalena’s workshops offer a friendly, inviting atmosphere. Writers are able to receive feedback, encouragement, and become connected to other writers in the community by attending. Her workshops have inspired me to continue writing and to nurture my creativity. They are truly something to look forward to.”—Jessica Markham

POETRY IN THE WORKPLACE WORKSHOP

If you are looking for a unique and truly rewarding team building experience, schedule a Poetry In the Workplace session with Magdalena. Let the tried and tested format of a poetry writing workshop empower those in your workplace with creativity and flow. Participants will learn writing and collaborative skills that translate to higher energy and performance in their place of employment. Perhaps most important, poetry levels the playing field so that the team is energized to do their best work in the highest spirit of service.

“Magdalena’s circles provide a level of intimacy and authenticity you don’t get in your daily interactions with people.  It is both nurturing and rejuvenating. A stunning wordsmith in her own right, Magdalena supports you in owning your own story, as well as believing your own story is worth telling.”  — Pamela Papas

“The students and I really enjoyed your workshop–it was mentioned several times as one of their favorite activities this semester.”– Kathleen Emery, Seventh Grade Teacher, Ceiba Charter School, Watsonville
